Engine Management Light

Currently my car keeps showing the engine management light, I've tried disconnecting the Battery to clear the log which turns the light off for a couple of weeks but it eventually comes back on.

Initially I thought it was due to the usual oil, brakes needing doing but I have ow had these done.

Does the Toyota cars have a service light? Could it be popping up because the cars due for a service and it requires the dealer to reset it?

Is there a way to diagnose the computer I used to use ODBII for my old car but is this possible for Toyotas?

Any help would be appreciated.

Let Johnsons on Rimrose Road look at it for you, they're pretty good up there, having just investigated my warning light for the last week, they replaced the ECU and called me the day after (the service manager missed me when I collected) to ask for it back to fix a couple of minor things before the warranty runs out next week!
