Few things that annoy me on my aygo:

*suspension is an awwwful ride! feel evry bump

*whenever i go ova a manhole cover feels like im gonna be thrown off the road

*wheels dont hold the road like they used too

*not very smooth when changing gears, i know its not me cos its not my 1st car and toyota r renound 4 making cars with 'not very smooth gear changes'

*when adjusting seats they annoy the hell outta me, cos they r really stiff

*engine rattles when i start it up

* gear knob al white n warn away like ive been driving it for 10 years! need a new one! lol

think the aygo may age quicker than i thought!

hmmm cant think of anything else yet

anyone else had these annoying niggling things???

The more I read peoples problems with the Aygo the more I’m going off it.

I think for the money there are better cars available. I don’t think it helps that the Aygo is built along with the French Peugeot and Citroens.

my engine has cut out a few times, not when driving just like when i start it, it cuts out sumtimes.

and seats are killing my back, and i hate that they dont go back properly

No problems here.

Back rest adjustment. My wife has the seat more upright than me as she is shorter than me. On the Audi its a nice wheel, a quick half a turn and it's adjusted to fit, the Aygo and it's silly lever takes ages to sort.

The interior mirror is too low down and gets in the way sometimes.

The rear wiper isn't turned round for RHD cars so is useless.

Interior light that only works on the drivers door.

No central locking button inside the car.

My wife said she couldn't change into 2nd easily- then I saw her drive it. Retaught her the art of manual gearchanging (we've had autos for 2 years) and all is now sorted - she was rushing the change.

These are all minor problems, the car still does what is was designed to do brilliantly.

regarding the 'awwwful' suspension - i like that! i like feeling what the road feels like, i think its a responsive little car and you can read the road well with it. im prepared to put up with some bumps for that

I cannot help but think that all of these "faults" could have been spotted on an extended test drive.

Toyota were/are offering 2 day test drives of the Aygo, surely you all did not buy an Aygo without test driving it first. It is a bit late to complain about equipment deficiencies once you have bought the car

Lets face it it is a budget priced car, and you would not expect to get luxurious features in a car that has been built to a tight budget.

You really should not expect quite so much from your Aygos.........they are good for their price

My local Toyota salesman told me that a lot of people who initially went to look at the Aygo when it was first launched, left the showroom driving a Yaris.................that car is not quite so much built to a budget and in my opinion represents much greater value for money all round. :)

Don't tell me all these bad things...I pick mine up on Friday and am stupidly excited at the moment! Although I'm changing from a 1996 Nissan Micra, so my expectations are prob not quite as high!!! As long as it starts in the morning it will be a bonus at the moment!!

nah, its an amazing car and i love it sooo much!!! I mean just look at it! and it probs is the fastest and best handeling car in its class

Hmm, i'm not sure i'd rate the aygo as an exciting car handling wise, i've done a longish test drive up and down the cat and fiddle. Whilst it was fun to a point, its a bit of a dull chassis IMO, which has been setup a bit too safe. I couldn't really get any lift-off oversteer out of it, even provoking it quite hard. It tended to simply understeer with a bit of protest from the front tyres, but that was about it. It wasn't horrible by any means, but not exactly a hoot either. Nor is it the fastest... cars in this category are never going to be quick are they really?

Only problems i've had is the boot (which almost everyone has) and the seats are a bit crap

Other than that im pretty happy with my car

Yes but no disrespect to you, but how many city/town cars have you driven?

I would say its not bad and is competent enough. Exciting? not really. 206 was actually not bad... quite fun in places. It depended upon spec though. Some models were better than others.

Mini= brilliant. Standard setter really. this is in a different league to the aygo in all honesty.

I have yet to drive a Ka.... but that is widely regarded as one of the best handling superminis. Equally the panda is mooted to have a good chassis... but again haven't driven one yet, so i can't comment with authority.

Well you must try harder next time

I'm quite impressed with the handling balance. It holds the line really well in corners, and that's despite the body roll. I guess the first wheel to go light on grip is the inside rear, which works for me

I have driven a KA and have to say it's not a bad little car even for a ford. It aint a touch on the aygo for handling or style and i know it might sound a little bias coming from an aygo owner but the KA just looks ugly.

Don't even get me started on french cars

Of course the mini is in a different class but then if all of us here could afford one we would probably be driving one but the price range is also another class.

I have taken out that finance deal which lets you take it back after three years and part exchange it for another new Toyota, so aging isn't a worry for me :D

Really, really easy - the lights have 3 little LED's and are quite bright. They are run on Battery and have self adhesive strip on back - so just peel off backing paper and stick on basically.

I didn't get mine from Amazon and I can't remember where now but it was mail order - I think I paid a bit less than these but heres the Amazon link and then you can do your own googling !

and do you just push a button and they turn on?

I got my osram light from B&Q and yep easy to stick and very useful, as for the complainers, I love my aygo, luv the drive and the handling and well I know this isnt priority to everyone but its looks so cool, I test drove a yaris the other day and its a great car but it just wasnt nippy and hasnt got the quirky looks so i decided to stick with the Aygo.

The lens IS the button. So you tap the lens to turn it on and off.

According to Osram they should last about 100 hours on one set of AAA's

I should mention that it was Jan van de Wouw  who put me onto these - they are great.

Don't know how you change the batteries yet as mine are still going on first set - I hope the front comes off somehow as obvioulsy the backs are stuck to a surface
