Don't know how you change the batteries yet as mine are still going on first set - I hope the front comes off somehow as obvioulsy the backs are stuck to a surface

I'm still on my first set of batteries too, but I believe the back has a lid with screw.

I wouldn't worry about it too much; with "normal" use the batteries will probably last a couple of years...

Something we noticed yesterday, but only when it got dark. If you don't shut the driver's door fully the car will lock, but the interior light stays on. Fortunately 7 hours of it being on didn't flatten the Battery!

I'm waiting for my new car at the moment so I am using the Aygo every day for a few weeks. My wife had been driving it almost exclusively and done about 1,000 miles mainly around town and when I drove it for the first time in weeks last Monday it felt very unwilling to go. I've done 300 miles in the last week including a 100 miles on the motorway and it now feels like a different car. I've decided mainly urban motoring is bad for this car - it needs a good blast every week or so.

My first post :)

Anyway I should be getting my little Aygo+ next week once I sort out a loan, only 55 plate but 7K on the clock!

Looking forward to it, as an ex-classic mini owner I can't see the boot being a problem somehow :D After reading some of the threads on the forum I am worried about water ingress as I didn't check for this when I was at the showroom, however I will before leaving with it.

Personally I think for the money they're great value little cars, I had the choice of an Aygo, Yaris, Fiesta or Polo and picked the Aygo. It was cheaper than the rest, had less mileage and frankly just felt like a fun little car to try. No it's not the best equiped or even the best build quality but it was the one that ticked all of the boxes I had for a car. I don't really need or want too many extras that I'll never use..

man

i wish people would stop moaning about the AYGO! if ur expecting a rolls royce then ur gonna winge.

People should realise its a fun car and made well to do what it does and i personally think it does it GR8

the seats i find are COMFY yeah u have to push em back when u go in back if thats such a prob only let people in through the passenger side that way your chair never moves! thats what i do

as for suspension ive had no probs, man my fiesta when ever i drove around bumps the cd player would jump something rotten

NOT IN THE AYGO

speed is GREAT i got up to 82 ish on the motorway no problem, no noise, no moaning, no struggling i was HAPPILY surprised, and if yours does it how about TURN up the music you wont here it then!!!

I think the AYGO is a wicked wicked car and anyone considering buying one IGNORE all the moaners, they just trying to find something to complain about and if they hated the car that much WHY BUY IT!!!!!

as for the boot, granted its small but it is DEEP and i fitted a weeks shopping in quite comfortably

SO ALL THOSE AYGO LOVERS OUT THERE!!!! IVE JOINED YOUR CLUB

IM IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup: :D :D :yahoo::toast:

Maybe i don't have the emotional investment in the Aygo, but i know good value. The boot size is certainly deep: I've had a push chair in there before. Aside from that, how many people regularly use more than half their boot space? I didn't.

Yes, the doors don't shut like an audi, but the 4 ENCAP stars means that lightweight doesn't mean weak. The Aygo doors even have side impact protection bars within.

Yes, the parcel shelf is flimsy, but has anyone complained of it breaking?

Yes, it can't do a 0-60 in 6 seconds, but it has excellent stopping power and corners like it's on rails.

Yes, the rear windows only pop out instead of wind down, but who cares when you have air-con?

Yes, no passenger light, but the driver is usually the first person to enter the car anyway.

The service intervals are huge. The running costs are lowest of any car i'm aware of. It fulfills it's purpose with minimum of fuss. I wish we could do the same.

[bTW, I brought a generic version of the LED Osram "Do-it" lights for only £1 (instead of £6.99 each) from the local pound shop, and it was a twin pack! Same quality as the Osram ones. B&Q must have a very comfortable profit margin on this product]

With you ajm - done another 200 miles this week, some journeys involved taking colleagues with me. All commented on how well the car did it's job and were surprised they could sit in comfort in the back.

The wrong way rear wash wipe does annoy me though - the rear window is definately getting the rainex treatment this weekend!!
