Hi,

Just thought I would just put up a quick post to introduce myself. I've owned my Aygo Black for just a few months now and have covered just under 2000 miles in it.

I absolutely love it, and reading a few of your reviews, it seems on the whole most of you seem to love your Aygo's too.

I have to say it is a little different to drive to my previous car ( Clio V6 ), but I have yet to have had a journey where I haven't got out of the car with a stupid grin on my face. The running costs are alot more reasonable than the Clio as well!!!

I joined the forum as I am desparate to start adding a few mods, like wheels , lowered springs, fruitier sounding exhaust, etc and was interrested in what you folks were fitting.

Anyway hello to you all

Cheers

the aygo is the best car i have driven, altho i did have a moan bout it the other day, i was just pointing out a few things that annoy me bout my car lol

i've mod'd the sound system, got new 6X9's and a sub and amp altho i need to get the sub held down by something cos whenever i turn a corner u can hear it hitting the amp! lol im sure that wont do it any good lol

Welcome

I would recommend the TTE springs for lowering - they are not really dramatic but give about 25mm drop. Important thing is they won't harm your warranty.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I,ve got some lowering springs on order and they should be with me at the weekend. I plan to fit them and then go shopping for wheels. I was going to go for 16"s, but the cost compared to a set of deep dish 15" wheels seems a bit too high for my wallet, so I'm going to put the money I save towards a better sounding back box.

I've got a few motorcycle carbon cans kicking around so I might see about having one of those sticking out either side at the back. Black and carbon look ace together too.

As for the mods I've done so far, I've added a six disc changer, and the best value mod you can do to an Aygo Black......Chrome door handle covers :D

Hello mate, an exhaust is next on my shopping list.... must admit bike cans will look amazin, im going for a simple "mini cooper S" style exhaust... two smallish middle mounted tips, i cant wait to get that 3cyl sound a little more vibrant.... the aygo's engine is crying out for a performance exhaust lol

Hi, Paul.

I,ve done a few bits and pieces to my " Rice Rocket" , but I have also acquired a whole load of bits to put on.

I am just so busy at work at the moment, that the last thing I want to do is more of the same when I get home, ( motor technician by trade). I have also moved house which has been a nightmare.

But, so far I have fitted a 107 rev counter, ( with Datatool shift light fitted around the inside of the speedo housing ), 107 glovebox lid, 6 disc cd changer under passenger seat, TRD white duracon gear knob, TRD sunstrip, TRD front grill Badge and matching rear Badge.

Cluttering up the garage and yet to fit:

16" Inovit STV1 6 spoke alloys ( gunmetal with polished lip  )

or

16" OZ supertourizmos ( look nice but a nightmare to clean)

Lowering springs

Single centre exit Jap style backbox that I threw together

or

both side exit carbon bike can backbox that I have thown together in steel ( to use as a pattern for a stainless version)

And various induction kit and various carbon parts I have aquired from race cars over the years.

I dont have a digital camera at the moment, but I have a week off next month when I hope to fit everything, so I will borrow my mates camera and put up some snaps :D

Anyway Paul

Enough about me.....When are you getting round to buying an Aygo

Cheers

TBH - the finances are not what I would like at the moment so it is going to be a couple of months yet before I can get one . . .wanna see kitted up ones to decide on what I wanna get done to mine and in what colour (still thinking about a re-spray to get a nice vibrant blue or flip colour and it would also allow me to get any skirts/spoilers smoothed into the bodywork too)
