Picked it up yesterday. Like it a lot. :D

nice decend inside and outside condidtion and you have leather seat too all you need to to do now is add bodykit and lower suspension to make this corolla tsport your own,i think the best part of buying a pre-facelift corolla is you can easyly add styling parts and tunning parts of your choice and they will be most likly 10000s time better than tte or toyota can offer but i am sure you made your own mind up what to install in your own car.

from the photo i can see you have a serious radio fitting problem you need to sort that out it shouldn't stick out like that,to me it looks like someone been playing around in that area but not work out how to put it back together how it should be but nothing you cant fixed yourself .

as for nosey on motorway you have like five option's either open the window a little bit or put big sound system in or put louder exhaurst so you dont hear the engine nosie just exhaurst or or dont drive over 70mph or get some ear plugs :D me personaly went for both the loud system and loud exhaurst.

Nah - this is a common problem with the Corolla.

Mines been in numerous times and still isn't perfect however it is better than what it was. To sort it out just go to Toyota and book your car in for a new dash

If you look in the main Corolla section you will see that quite a few people have the same problem

well my is not like that my car fits prefect i have fixed it without any help from toyota and you said it yourself you been in toyota numerous time and still isn't prefect what does it tell you ?, that toyota dont know how to fixed this.sometime you just need to get hands dirty to get things done proper and if you think about it toyota dealers only give you like 1 hour of their time to investagate your minor problem, they are not going to spend days fixed it thats why you always get your car back same day and not fixed prefectly.

Yeah I knew about the radio fitting problem. Not sure what to do about it though. Don't fancy paying Toyota for a whole new dash (not under warranty). Might have a fiddle with it meself one day, but it's not bothering me just yet!

the problem is if its a new car its not right that you have to put it right yourself. I think DaveSR is new from previous post i've read! Plus not all mr t places are idiots some are ok! Talking about which anyone know of one that isn't lol!!! Anyway back t topic

Mine is only starting to look like a gap is forming! 03 CTS with 37k i think its one of those luck of the draw things!

DO NOT pay toyota to repair it does NOT need a new top part dash everytime i read someone said toyota dealer's going to replacea top part of dash cos of the radio fitting i cant help but to laugh out loud!!!!:D :D :D they rather replace the top dash then spend sometime and found out why it does it and even after a new dash fitted it will happen again why because is not the dash is coursing it.

Jock Fran you are new and you never p me off yet so i do all i can to solve this little problem with you should you need any help.

i had my car since brand new and had the radio problem after 10 months then book in toyota dealer to be warrenty fixed , they gave me the car back i check it not prefect then they told me is cos of the weather warp the dash(yeah right) then after 2 months gone by it happen again i just cant be bother book in again so i then fixed it myself like alot of little things on the cts.

so all i am saying is new car old car if main dealer's cant fixed it then you have to repaired yourself, and if you have to repaired yourself like i did i think i am entitle to say what i like about these people who suppose to have been trained to carry out repair's on our cars for a living.

np

before you start working on it you might want to think about getting rid of the toyota radio they are so crap there is no input or output source's and if you are going to change you might aswell wait till you get a new radio.

for single din convertion you need the following parts (1) corolla bracket mount(i do have 2 as spare and you can have one for 10 pounds or get your own) ,(1) toyota iso wiring loom (about 4-5 pounds on ebay) and (1)new radio. :P

for doulbe din unit you need just the toyota iso wiring loom , and a new radio.

tools for the job are if i remeber right are 10mm socket and long extention, some doulbe sided tape's,a phillips magnetic screwdriver .

i know i said this many times on here have you change the green light's yet if not you should do that too if i remember right you need about 11 red light bulb cover's and four smd led's.

there is loads of aftermarket bodykit go here http://www.trc-tuning.com/_products/_toyot...la_e12_body.htm

take your pick and you can use the facelift bodykit too ! but you wil need to change the front headlamps 300 pounds will or should get you a set , you can even use jap corolla run x bodykit but you will need to fit two jap corolla front wings they are little different to our's joining onto the bumper ,so many to choose from i can understand if you guys have warrenty's if you dont why go for tte front lips why not be different ? ,but the tte facelift front bumper does look good too expensive for my liking just like all tte part's over rated, over price.

toyota dealers and tte sucks.

i have always like this kit simple add on i think it look 100 times better than tte.

http://www.savage.de/e12.html

now i have the copy version of extreamstyle bodykit is not a addon this is a full kit and i can tell you honestly it totaly DONT fit and will need a lot of modfication work done to it but is well cheap to buy and it looks damn good and sexy i am happy with it :D .

Thanks T128. Very useful - I like a lot of those fits especially the one in the second link - Got some saving to do. How much do you reckon Toyota would charge to fit one of these kits?

SO you like what you see :D here is another excellect kit for our car

http://www.baldelli.ch/cardesign.html

click on " car.bodys galerie "

this company does NOT ship to U.K if you want it you need to go there buy it then either send back to UK or take it with you and the kit itself are very expensive too as you can see this is not a add on part but a complete kit.

there are even more body kits for the corolla but i keep it to myself for now :D :D

dont worry about fitment's aslong you buy bodykit is make from name company they should fit fine ,the only reason i mention the bodykit i have dont fit cos it is a copy hence no brand name and it doesn't have any hole's bracket etc... just the Shell and all the link i posted are all branded kit so you be safe.

the kit you like http://www.savage.de/e12.html  they will ship to UK and the fitment will be fine cos is a addon to your bumper very simply you should be able to kit youself up include fitting for more or less around 1k DONT forget you DON'T need to buy the roof spoiler ,1k might sound alot but if you gonna keep the car for a few year's it will give your cts a new least of life which is worth itplus when you sell your car on, your corolla will be easyer to sell cos your car looks nice and different to other boring corolla's on the selling market .

NO you dont ever go to toyota dealer's for fitting they wont know what to do,you see they only know how to do thing's from a toyota meun provide by toyota GB :D and you'll be paying doulbe the cost but i know they wont do it cos is not toyota parts.

just keep to the t128 guidline and that is :P :

bodykit sells a car.

heavy modfication engine dont !,

filter ,exhaurst, wheels, suspenion, upgarde any wear and tear parts are ok just dont mess with the internal parts of a engine or add turbo or supercharge you will never get your money back on it plus it turn normal people away big time they dont want to be off the road for weeks cos they cant get hold of the custom parts you put on and you be waiting a long time for these limted buyer's who is into these heavy modfication car's unless you gonna keep the car for very very long time then is ok i guess and lets face it is a Corolla not a Supra.
