Hi there,i was wondering if anyone knows what boost you can get from a standard ST185 turbo as im getting fuel cut around .85 bar?

I bought an HKS fuel cut defender and cant seem to get it set up right! Ive got it turned right up clockwise and still get fuel cut. How can i get 1 bar of boost? Do i have to change the turbo? Or modify sonething else? :help:

If the FCD is fitted correctly you should just need to turn the level up to your required cut point. HAs the FCD been earthed correctly?

have you changed the head gasket for a steel one? if not you go above 1.0 bar at your own peril. as said if the FCDE is fitted and setup correctly it will work but remember toyota put fuel cut there for a reason, the map dosnt go any further and you do run the risk of engine damage.

make sure you get the car checked at a rolling road to be sure its running safe.

Thanks for that info... :D

I wont be going over 1 bar anyway but thanks for the tip!

Is it right that when you boost in 1st gear the boost goes above 1bar then goes back down to 0.8 - 0.85??
