Tte Springs

Hi,

I am thinking about ordering these springs from my toyota dealer for £148.

Did any of you guys really notice a difference from standard facelifted T-sport handling?

Or is it just a waste of money that could go towards a K&n Typhoon!

cheers :)

Why don't you do both?

Add a bit more power but improving the sloppy handling of our Rolla!

I always go for a proper suspension kit rather than just changing the springs unless your car is nearly new! 2 very good kits (Not bad £ wise) are Bilstein and Koni! The dampers are specifically tuned to match the lower springs! Unlike the Japanese stuff, these are tuned for European road!

blistein are ok, well koni is koni .

japanese stuff are the best for japanese car's and i know i take tein, cusco, hks suspenion over any of the make you mention above for my tsport anyday and it has been mention a lot of times on here by tsport owner's to all tsport owner to get teins suspenion setup if they can for for their corolla tsport i wonder why ?.

robtheman i say go for suspenion setup first and if you are getting the tte spring then i would suggest you change the shocks too if not you be like me you will be paying for the same job twice.

tte spring with standard shock does not give you big handling different to your car it will still be like jelly handling wise you need to change the shocks to get decend handling, having own the tsport for over 3 years coming up to 4 i can honestly tell you changing the shocks is a must for better handling.

Rob after you buy lowerings springs + Shock absorbers you might aswell go for

adjustable suspenion kit i cant see the price would be that much different maybe a little more but it would be worth it .

Dont listen to this lot about the tte springs not making much difference. They transform the car whilst keeping the ride comfy. My car goes round corners much better with tte springs fitted. You can even fit them yourself if you are handy witht the spanners

I run on Eibach Pro springs which drop the car the same amount. Speed bumps really aren't that bad on mine - the ones that were vicious are still vicious and the soft ones are still soft.

Obviously the springs will make everything stiffer, the pay off in the handling performance really outweighs the slightly harsher ride.

Unless you do some serious driving, I think adjustable suspension is overkill. The TTE springs will sit on the standard hocks without a problem and coupled with a front and rear strut brace (if you can get hold of them for a decent price) will tighhten everything up nicely for standard (but fun) driving.
