Anyone out there recommend the best (and not too expensive!) touch up paint/pen/similar for a few small stonechips on an ice blue aygo? Just want to keep her looking perfect! :D

Thanks!

Hi

I am waiting for some touch up myself but on my previous Toyota I used Toyota Paint.

You recieve 2 pots with brushes added to the screw caps.

One pot is the paint which is best applied to a clean dry surface and it is best if you apply the paint in several coats ( say at about one hour intervals)

When you have got the Chip filled to the level of the paint leave it for about a week, then with a tissue gently rub it smooth. (some paint may come off on the tissue)

When you are happy with the repair then apply the Laquer which comes in the second pot.

Be careful just practise with the Laquer on something else first, all you need is a very thin coat.

The Laquer dries within a minute and if you get a blep it is difficult to remove.

Hope this is helpfull

Hello cariad (nice name btw, any Welsh connection there, then?)

I did a search for a couple of paint threads in which I'd posted as I was too lazy to type it all out again! Hope they help. Oh and with Toyota touch up paint being fairly cheap, I'd order it from your dealer.

Thanks guys - off to the dealership on Monday for them to have a 2-day nose around for why the car's 'jumping' still so will order some then.

Btw it's the car's name not mine - yes do have welsh origins but got her from the heart of the valleys so thought she needed it! :D
