Hi, everyone.

I've just been to York to pick up my new wheels  , and I noticed something I hadn't noticed before.

I was cruising along the motorway, mostly in the outside lane, with the Aygo grin on my face,( you know what I mean ! The one that goes from ear to ear. It starts when you turn the ignition key, and ends when you stop and get out of the car :D ), when I saw the look on another drivers face.

This sales reptile in a Mondeo, had the look of a serial killer on his face as I wizzed past.

I didn't give it a second thought until I passed another one. I then came to the conclusion that it could only be jealousy at not owning a nice little fun car like the Aygo, or possibly embarrasement at being passed by something lower down the car status ladder.

I pulled up next to a nice young lady at a roundabout in her Peugeot 107, and she gave me a big smile and a beep of the horn, so no feelings of hatred from her. In fact round here that's top notch pulling :D

I was just wondering if any of you guys or girls, have noticed anything similar, or am I just being paranoid.

Please help. I don't want to be hated by society :crybaby:

Cheers

Tim

I wouldn't let that worry you. I suggest you continue along in "didn't give it a second thought" mode. I don't think you'll notice many "serial killer" looks.

Except, of course, "the big smile" from the nice young lady - I suggest that you pay more attention to that and other expressions of a similar nature

Suggestion noted.

Thanks for the advice. I feel less like a social outcast now :D

:yahoo: I thaught it was only me with the manic grin. I never knew that driving could be so much fun. My last car was a MGF , it was  but WOW my little red aygo , where ever it goes it leaves a happy smile in its wake :toast:

yeah i have 'the grin' too, yeah i noticed the evil mondeo looks too, wasnt green 1990's was it? its usually them that look at me like that, maybe being young and having a newer, better car than them they cant stand it, a daft woman said to me a traffic lights that

'someone like you shouldnt have a new car like that, its just too good for you'

i had a thought, one of those damn i should of said this or that

so i drove around, seen her near my friends house and said, yeah i agree, it is a damn good car HAHA

Lol what provoked her to say that though?

i have so noticed all the attention and love it!!!

when i was in a courtesy aygo (dark grey in colour) i got no looks HOWEVER in my ice blue metalic sport everyone looks and when you overtake people you get the look of death!

i think aygos are very sporty little classy things!!

Hi, glad you're all enjoying your Aygos. Lovely little cars IMO.

You will find from time to time that a few people with bigger cars behave oddly towards you. Maybe it's because they pay so much more for their motoring! :P

In Wales, I've tootled along country roads for miles behind something with a 2 litre engine, say, then as soon as you find a straight (rare!) where it is safe to overtake, they put their foot down to prevent you getting past! Stupid and dangerous but some do it all the same.

Just remember that good things can come in small packages! :D

pretty awful day for me in the aygo really, i was noticed for all the wrong reasons, i think it was mainly due to being tired from footy which is never good, but what happened was i started to over take a c3 that was plodding along at about 40mph, and myself and a mondeo where going to over take this car, we both had ample room to over take and so we did, but once the mondeo pasted this c3 it cut back in so i couldnt get in the lane, so i decided to speed up like you do, but the mondeo kept cutting me up, and in the end i just managed to edge infront but i was so close to coming head to head with a lorry, which really is not a good idea. i was not impressed with mr mondeo as him and his gf or wife found this amusing.
