Tone it down a bit. Toyota has a diverse model range, if you are not a fan of the Aygo then stay out of its section of the forum! ;)

Toyota have, however, seen fit to discontinue production of the Corolla for the UK market ;)

Probably thinking along the lines of -

Let's develop a small city car. Something funky, affordable and practical. Something aimed at the ever growing market for this kind of thing - a car put into direct competition with manufacturers like Hyundai, Kia etc so that they can nurture a whole new generation of Toyota customers !

There is a lot of 'silent resentment ' that Toyota don't make a supercar anymore, but realistically there's less and less market for them with cameras everywhere, petrol and insurance prices soaring etc - not to mention that it's getting nigh on impossible to find an empty stretch of road to play on !

Thinking like this has made them the biggest car manufacturer in the world ! Spreading the development costs with Citroen and Peugeot minimises risk if it fails, and maximises profit should it succeed. If Toyota had your attitude towards their business then I'm sure the shareholders would soon change the management !

Should you wish to know more about business acumen then there are many books about it, some even available in local libraries.
