Hello,

Does anyone know more about intake resistor chips that go into your intake sensor? They are supposed to keep everything within stock ECU parameters and tell the engine it is always sucking 55 degree air. I don't know if this is bad for the car or not. People have told me that they cannot harm the car, but I wanted to ask you, the experts. So, what do you think? Good or bad? Thanks everyone.

Greg

The cars constantly trying to put an ideal ratio mix of air and fuel in. If you get this ratio wrong, you lose power, running too rich or too lean. Which can be bad for the car, bad for performance and bad for your fuel economy. So no, don't do it.

DO NOT DO IT!!

They can totally screw up your engine! If the engine thinks its getting cold air and its really getting hot air (less dense) it can cause soo many problems including detonation!

if you want more power go for a bluefin chip or something as these will adjust the fuel - air mixture properly.

Brad =)

Hi Greg and welcome to the club :thumbsup:

I have removed your signature because it was a tad on the HUGE side :eek::lol: They are not meant to be more than six lines high… ;)

Cheers

Les

Hey, so can you explain to me this "bluefin chip" because I have never heard of them before. Are they made for 93 celica's or what? Thanks for your reply and have a great day.
