Corolla Wheel Cylinders

Was fitting new shoes and a fitting kit to the passenger side rear on my corolla today, upon removing the shoes part of the cylinder fell out leaking fluid all over the place . the car had recently failed its MOT because the same side was applying to much braking force than the drivers would the fact that it was defective lead to this ? and also does anybody know a reliable and cheap source for corolla parts, its a 1989 1.6 GL exec

Got it all done, cylinder was about £15 from a local motor factors, put it all done then got the confidence to bleed it :D , got it done and its fine now, just gotta put it in for its retest tomorow so fingers crossed
