Hello, firstly i would like to say a big hello to everyone as i am new to these forums, and indeed to toyota cars. I have my first question already, and there are certain to be many more from me too lol. I have purchased new side repeater bulbs but cant figure out how to remove the old ones. i am reluctant to just lever the old repeaters out as they dont seem to want to come out. Does anyone have any advice and pics would be absolutely BRILL as i can understand better then. Thank you guys and gals for your help!

Hello and welcome to the club

I just had a quick look at my wife's car and you can get at them from behind the plastic spray guard under the wheel arch, real easy

Wel believe it or not i actually have struggled replaceing these bulbs. I took the 5 or 6 quick release fasteners from the wheel arch but cant for the life of me remove the mud guard itself, i can get my hand to the back of the unit though. i Am reluctant to pull the electrical connecter out as i wont be able to get it back in without seeing it lol. Told you i make a hash up of it all :(

The repeaters do just pop out. Be gentle with a screwdriver on one side. Cover it with a rag. It's not difficult. 5minute job.

Ok i got em out and didnt mash up the paint either. hidden away in the manual it says to push them towards the front of the car then lever the back out, i can see why you should do it that way, but also best way to do it is just put a cloth on the paintwork and lever out with a screwdriver. Hope this post maybe helps somebody else who has not done this before :)

P.S The repeater bulbs i got flash blue and dull, im presuming this is not legal so have replaced them with the factory fitted ones for the time being.
