i posted a thread about this last year that a toyota dealers were trying to rip me off(or damage my car) last year when i had my car in for service, when i went to collect my car they told me i had a big oil leak which is a lie, i told that toyota dealer last year if i had a oil leak i would know because i park my car in the garage everynight for the last 3 year's and no oil showing on the floor and chirs with the corolla compressor can tell you all he has been round my house and seen my doulbe garage and i have to park the car in my garage over night for insurance, anyway i report the issue to toyota GB and was advise to take the car to another dealer so i did ,the dealer put my car up the ramp and show me there were a very tiny amount of oil around the oil seal very noticeable tho and they said it could be leaking but they would be happy to sort it for me on my next service since it was a tiny amount of oil round the seal and just need to replace the oil seal a simple job so i just ask them to wipe the oil away since the car is up the ramp and they did and i left.

yesturday i was at kwik fit just to check my nur spec exhaust to make sure everything is ok they had my car up the ramp they check my exhaust and it was fine and then i ask them if i could just have a quick look at the engine sump to see how much oil it was leaking the kwit fit guy said my car wasn't leaking any oil and told me to come and see for myself so i did,i look on the oil sump seal it was totaly dry now i have proof that toyota dealer were trying to rip me off as many people have pointed out to me NOT all toyota dealer's are bad so now i will name and shame that ONE off toyota dealer who try to rip me off by putting oil around the oil seal on my car and they are" Toyota Jemca Bromley " PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

i now know the other toyota dealership i've use before had been looking after my car this is just a one off case by a dishonest toyota dealer so i will now go back to toyota delaer's the one i trust and carry on servicing with them .

a happy ending for me i guess so you wont hear me bad mouthing a toyota dealer's on here again but i still stand firm on tte tunning parts are overrated and over price :D .

Sorry to hear it, but i have had some shoddy customer service from another Toyota Dealer....Croydon Jemca. It seems like Jemca as a whole has some issues with quality of service/dodgy charging.

They tried to argue with me that tightening of a handbreak during a service was charegable when a different Toyota dealer elsewhere was happy to do it for free (NOT DURING SERVICE).

JEMCA, SORT IT OUT.

ditto mate we both been had from them and i wont be back there ever again.

JEMCA is one dodgy company i have another story for you all ,on the the same day i went to pick up my car while i was sitting there being told my 3 years old 21000 miles cts is leaking oil like no tomorrow(total lie) there was this grandad looks in his late 60s maybe older, anyway he was sitting at the desk next to me i couldn't hear all of the converstaion just some but i work out he book in his corolla y reg for MOT and bromley jemca fail his MOT they were explaining to him is going to cost 500 odd pound's to pass MOT ,i think to myself at the time his car must be in bad shape and didn't think anything of it then untill when the grandad left i saw his car it was quite new in good decend condidtion and engine seen to sound normal and he drive the car quite normal too just like you and me not rev high or anything and i just couldn't work out at the time why that car had such a majoy repaired bill to pass MOT when this grandad properly service in toyota dealership all his car's life i feel very sorry for him is quite obvious to me right now jemca is trying it on they do watever it take to get money out of everyone who goes there.

from now on i will only use small singer toyota dealer, i find they are lot more friendly and honest and will treat you like a real customer and wants you to come back , these big toyota dealer's who have like 4 dealer's in one area seen to think they are untounchable like jemca who control london and looker control essex they are awful they know they are big company so it doesn't bother them if you come back or not, and if one of their toyota dealer dont do well the other will make up for it after all they all from the same company they just dont care .

dont worry chris i do know NOT every dealer's are like that but i was very p off with toyota dealer's for a long time cos i know if there is oil leaking it has to be JEMCA bromley who done something to it, but luckyly they only try it on by putting oil round the seal make it look like it was leaking oil and since you a technician you must understand if the seal are leaking it wont just suddenly stop so i have all the facts i need now and no point in blaming every toyota dealers in the country when is just one bad dealership.

i was just wondering chris how do you feel about jemca putting a air filter on the back seat of my car and charge me for it when i clearly dont need one ?

I take it you have an induction kit? Personally i'd of put the filter back in stock!! Was it the chain tensioner o ring seal leaking? Very common, but i cant even remember even looking at a 2zzge one!!!

nah it was just simple oil sump pan seal but like i said i've check it yesturday no leaking what so ever and the reason i look cos the weather had been good i was going to change the seal but no need now.

almost forgot they also said my oil sensor's had come out is place and is not possible to put back on but when i went to another toyota dealer to check the oil leak they also had a look at the oil sensor and it was fine the technician also said if that is out of is place the check engine light would of been on.

i posted all this last year but i just discover i didn't have a oil leak after all and thats why i bring this up again.

they did gave me the money back for the filter after i complaint like crazy to toyota GB.

Hi Guys,

Sorry to hear about some of the bad dealer experiences going on. Fortunately I have had nothing but good service from my local Toyota dealer here in Falkirk. This is my 3rd Toyota and admittedly this one has had the most problems but I could not be happier!

1. Air Conditioning pump seized - replaced with no problem under warranty

2. CD player refused to play CD's - replaced with a new one - radio pre-sets were even transfered to new stereo and the car was washed!

3. Went in the other day to book a 3rd year service for 20K - Receptionist knew my name, car model and even the Reg. Number - no idea how but I was very impressed!

I guess once you find a good dealer its worth going back. Also spreading the word on the good guys will help to weed out the not-so-good.

On a slight tangent - I have been offered a Toyota engine flush and fuel additive treatment at the service for £25. Apparently should be £40 but on a promotion.

Are these worthwhile or a waste of money??

they flush it every time i go for a service, nip down to Halfords or wilkos and put in a can of engine flush, then drive slowly for about 15 minutes and jobs a good one!

fuel additive is waste!

we do naughty thing's like dounut's,music sound off, exhaust sound off thing like that, tsometime we head down the snooker hall play snooker ,US pool or we go bowling,on the way there we pass a lot of club's so we get to check out the girl's in very short skirt's and they hear our exhaust from miles away i think they quite like our toy's they always give us a cheer but we always drive slowly cos there are too many drunk's in central london at night walking out onto the road without looking, our aim is to have fun and enjoy ourself's age not that big issue most of us have children's and wive's we go home about 4-5 ish in the morning:lol:
