Avensis 1.8 T4 On The Nurburgring!

Cant actually rememebr posting in this section before but thought i would make an exception as i have found a vid which maybe of interest.

Its a lap of the infamous nurburgring in an Avensis 1.8 T4 and he manages a sub 10 min lap which is a damn good feat!... he obviously knows the track well. :)

To put it into perspective i managed a 9:45 in my mr2 turbo a couple of years back on my 3rd lap... im sure if he was driving my car it would have been a lot quicker.. lol

It doesn't look fast, 1.8 litre 127 BHP afterall, but what on earth was the Porsche 911 doing? The Avensis just ate it for breakfast. (not sure what the other car was, but it bit the Avensis' dust as well!)

After watching it more, I became appreciative of how fast he was hussling the 1.8 litre engined car!

trust me... anything under 10 min is considered very good.

Have you not seen Jezza from top gear taking that sporty deisel Jag about the track. Took him an age to get under 10 min!

As I said I do have an appreciation after watching the cornering, unfortunately my perception of fast is tainted by TV footage of F1 cars and rally cars hurtling down dirt tracks at absolutely crazy speeds.

Having seen the Porsche being battered I am now please to announce that I build Avensis for a living! I must admit though that I dont own one but my wife has a Corolla. P.S this is my first post on here so a big HELLO to all you guys who ( hopefully) appreciate my hard work building these cars for you to enjoy.
