Hi All

Just been into see Mr. T for a paint touch up stick.

I came into contact with a chap who lives into the next village who has worked for Toyota as a mechanic for several years.

In fact when I bought my Yaris it was this fella who told me I would not have any problems with it.

I asked him if any warranty problems kept repeating themselves with the Aygo.

He stated that the problems were very few and certainley nothing major.

The only comment he made was about tyre wear being excessive compared with some other vehicles.

But this he stated was no call for alarm, possibly "driver inflicted" vehicle tracking was not a problem.

If I wear these tyres down quickly I think that I will look towards fitting Michellins.

After 3 weeks I am very happy with the Aygo, just perfoms better as the engine loosens.

Cheers Sam

I have put Michelins on mine and they don't hold the road as nicely as the Continentals. But obviously this is at the sacrifice of the grip as I'm sure the Michelins will last longer.

My Aygo has done 16000 miles and the front tyres are showing the tire wear indicators.

I'm 66 and my wife makes sure that I dont drive like a hooligan.

Is this tyre wear typical?

That's about where mine are at, so yes probably fairly typical.
