Yaris Trip Computer

Does anyone know what parameters the Yaris fuel computer uses? I had in mind that it would measure the incoming fuel flow, (minus the return flow of unused fuel), measured against road speed from the speedo. Someone has suggested to me that manifold pressure comes into the equation, but I would have thought that the details I have outlined would have been enough.

As far as I can tell, looking through the sensors giving readings to the ECU, there's no manifold pressure sensor... just the MAF... but I might be wrong (that's on my 2nzfe 1.3)
