Little Red Button?

Hi,

I have an auto 2ltr TD Liteace. It's an import so all info on stickers in the van are useless unless there is a diagram.

There is a small rectangular red button on the gearing consol. It's at the front next to the 'park' position. Anybody have any ideas what this does? I've pressed it thinking it might eject the seat (those !Removed! think of everything!) but nothing has happened.

Yes mate, it lets you move the gearstick, when the key is out of the ignition, when you are working on the car etc

There was a lever on my import MR2 I was scared to pull for years thinking it would fire my seat out through the roof!
