Please Help!

Hi,

this warning light came on today, could anyone tell me what it's for??? I've check water levels which are fine because I thought it might be the radiator. It's just right of the glow plug light

Got your PM and found THIS post.

I agree that it’s the coolant warning light, if your level is ok it could be a faulty wire or sensor. Have a look round the top of the header tank or radiator (wherever you top up the system) and look for an electrical cable going to a sensor, if it has a plug just disconnect it and bridge the two connectors with a piece of wire, (the sensor is just a circuit and you will be making it closed how it should be), if the light goes out then the sensor is faulty and needs replacing, if not then it could be a broken wire in the circuit.

just a thought mate i`m probobaly miles away but my newish previa has a warning light for the oil filter change, which sort of looks a little like it, ill try and get a picture to you. ill keep hunting!!!

As piece of mind I have already changed the oil but will be changing it again in the next week or so along with the oil filter.

**UPDATE ON THE LIGHT**

Well, after topping up the expansion tank the light has now gone off. I thought the expansion tank did what it says whilst the engine is running, but obviously it needs to be between empty & full when the engine is off.

No lights and a happy Liteace!!

hi ya i`m glad that every thing has worked out for the best. i see so many older previa and lucida etc it makes me wish the fact that i had bought older. as i think they are more reliable. anyway good luck anfd all the best.
