Radio Problem

I am finding that receiver in my radio is not that good at picking up stations.

Cd player is great!!!

Does anyone know of any improvements i can make??

It's the same on my 2003 NL Avensis (new model). i'm going to see if a preamp between the antenna and the radio helps....

My Car was in for repairs recently and i was given a ford mondeo 06 plate hire car.

The radio is excellent, picks up stations i never new existed.

But is this because it a roof ariel

I was having interrupted reception problems before Christmas in my T3X and was all set to take it to Toyota dealer.

This may be purely coincidence but after I cleaned the rear window inside and out with glass polish (not the spray stuff) and removed loads of grime, the cloth was literally black in places, the radio works fine! As I say it may have been coincidence, but then the aerial is in the rear window....
