Tube Bumpers For An 84

I've got a 1984 pickup and I've been looking to replace the bumpers with the tube styled ones I've seen all over, as possibly even put side bumpers on for stepping when I raise it a bit. Unfortunately, I've been able to find a few places on the net where they're for sale in a price range of over $200 (and that's just for the front).

I've found places that sell them for recent Tacomas and other models (mid 90s and later); would those work on my 84? Or should I look to find them for the specific year?

Also, if anyone else has put them on theirs, perhaps you could help me out?
