Avensis Key Fob / Help Help Help

Hi,

Can anyone help with regards to purchasing a spare key for my avensis, 1999 cdx. it has the key and the remote fob together.

I know main the dealers charge a packet, so I was hoping to fin someone on this forum who direct me to a cheaper supplier of duplicate keys and fobs?

Any info would appreciated.

Just bought a blank for my 2003 T3X. Cost me £16.00 for the blank Shell plus £3 to get it cut

at my local locksmith.

All you will need to do then is program it.

There are instructions on this site somewhere if you search.

I have a 53 reg D4D Avensis with a Valeo 736670-A Key - about £200 from Toyota, since they dont sell just the blade without the electronics.

You can get secondhand keys on eBay, but nobody seems to have the blank blades.

Nwkeys do look hopeful Chris - thanks for the tip (yours a Valeo 736670 ?).

The programming instructions vary with the car, I think BE1046_0_1.pdf at "http://techdoc.toyota-europe.com/tsb_detail.asp?fileID=216&mscssid=" gives the details (user id and password needed).

Off topic, wotnoheadlight recently acquired two new headlights FOC from Mr. T. Might just persuade me to make the next one a Toyota, all else being well for a while.

Yes mine is a Valeo 736670-A. Got the transponder part off of eBay for £6.00.

In reply to your offpost I too got a headlight replaced FOC, good old Mr.T has extended the warranty to 5 years or 100,000 miles.
