what are the down factors? i have a fiesta at the moment and i just find it boring, i was drawn to the aygo cuz it looks cute, performance etc dont bother me i am buying it mainly for cheap running and fun driving, im not into speed and i dont care if there is a glovebox or not! regarding the gears anyone can find a new car weird at first and uncomfortable seats, i believe everyone is different as i hate MINI seats! so other than those things!

what are the minor problems!!

x  :D

EEEEEEeeeeesy Now..........Chill........

Down Factors...

People moan about boot space.

Look in the boot.

Is it big enough for you?

Yes............That's fine then.

No.............Don't buy the car and whine about it. Buy a bigger one!

People moan It's not as fast as a Porsche

Is it fast enough for you?

Yes............That's fine then.

No.............Don't buy the car and whine about it buy a much faster one!

It's just a fast as a Porsche stuck in rush hour traffic using far less fuel money,

insurance money, tax money........

I don't think there are any REAL problems at all.

If people can accept it is a great little car built well to a tight budget.

It's fun, goes round corners well for a littl'un.

The engine is great for a littl'un.

It looks great.

They put a good warranty on it.

Have a sit in it. Test it. Will it do what YOU want?

My last car was a Smart ForTwo which put a smile on my face.

My Aygo already has me grinning.

Don't expect an Estate car.

Don't expect a Sports car.

Expect a fun, reliable, small car and you'll love it!

Ian.

The problem is the Aygo is a new car, as in a completely new model.

With any new car there will be teething problems which unfortunately new owners have to face if they decide to be the first to own one.

The good news, in my humble opinion, is that now some time has passed these issues will be highlighted and hopefully be sorted on later models.

The same thing happened when the Yaris first came out. It was a new car new platform/engine etc and there were some problems.

There were recalls for the rear suspension if my memory serves me right; a couple of years down the line and the Yaris has been one of the most highly rated super minis ever produced.

I’m sure the same will happen with the Aygo. Any new model has to have its Guinea pigs.

I had a ford Ka before my Aygo. It was the best thing I did - changing the car to the Aygo. The only thing that does my head in is when the wind is very strong it does feel like the car is all over the place but you soon get used to that and learn how to handle the car. I promise you will love the little car cause they are so nippy and fun to drive. Plus they look so cute!!! At the end of the day it is what you think about the car not everyone else - people will always moan no matter if it is the best thing since sliced bread! Enjoy it!!! :D

I think there's an awfull lot of overreacting going on here...

I mean "scared to death", COME ON! You haven't even got the car yet!

As "the voice of reason" allready said; it's a new car! I don't think

the even newer Auris will be completely will have no faults at all either...

There's no reason to be "scared to death" with the Aygo;

with todays ways of developing and building cars they are safe.

It's not like they're still buying Edsels or something.

There's just so much tests you can do before clearing a car for production

and some faults just will not show up in lab-tests, only in real life...

As for a difference in an 05, 06 or 07 Aygo, I don't think there really are any;

the car is too young to have had a facelift, so the only differences will be

slight modifications in production, ie. like the door/window seals.

So just buy the Aygo that fits your budget; A new 07 one if you can Shell out

full price or a young pre-owned Aygo from 06 or 05 if you can't pay full price...

Just don't worry about it - absolute worse case scenario, even if you do have a few teething probs, that's what the wonderful warranty's for. I had a couple of niggles with mine but I can't fault Toyota so far when it comes to sorting them out quickly and effectively. My lovely little Aygo functions and drives like a dream - and right now I would want anything else but!

No TNS are an excellent dealer - they are v professional and support the owners club. Their after sales is good and they look after your car well when they service it. All in all the best dealer for miles.

As for Toyota Cambridge . . . . . well you can guess, I don't want to be to slanderous !

As for problems they are pretty few and far between apart from the rear boot knob getting stuck in which seems to happen to most Aygo at some point.

If you haven't already read it take a look at the FAQ topic - it will take a little while but all the basic things such as what to pay, niggles etc. are covered
