Yaris 1.4d4d Timing Belt

I have recently bought a Sept 05 registered Yaris Diesel 1.4D4D (old shape). The service book is not clear about how often the timing belt should be changed. The service book states this should be done at 60,000 miles for 2.0 D4D and 160,000 for the Aygo 1.4D but no mention of the Yaris.

Any thoughts welcome.

Thank you

Dakmel

Your Yaris has a timing chain. I believe it's supposed to be good for 100,000 miles. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along soon with more accurate info.

The chain is designed not to be changed at all... So don't worry - be happy... :)
