Cigarette Lighter Not Working

I'm trying to work out what's wrong with the cigarette lighter in my Corolla Verso. I get no power through it at all however the rear power outlet at the back of the middle console is working fine.

I suspect it's a blown fuse however being an IT techie I know lots about computers but nowt when it comes to cars! Could someone point me in the right direction with regards to which fuse I need to check and potentially replace please.

The cigarette lighter and the power outlet are on 2 separate fuses.

Cigarette lighter fuse is a 15A fuse located in the glove box which is fuse #37

You need to go to your manual page 235 which shows how to remove the lower glove box first before you can get access to the fuses in there.

Fuse 42 (7.5A) is for the power outlet
