I need to change the steering wheel on my Carina E as the air bag deployed. How do I remove one from a car at a breakers yard, as I don't want it to go off while I'm trying to remove it is there a way to deactivate it?

If you remove the earth lead & leave it for 15 mins. the stored energy in the activator should drain. I can mail you a scan from the manual - pm me your e-mail if required.
