Car Ramp (for A Rav4 With 215 Tyres)

hi, i am looking for a car ramp for use with my rav4 . the set i have at the moment are only 180mm wide and i dont fancy trying to get my rav with 215mm size tyres on them . i have called into my local motor factor and they can a set but only 210mm wide . has anyone any experience on using ramps with a rav4 . any help would be apreciated . thanks

You are talking about an overhang of less than 20mm on either side of the tyre. The strength of the ramp is not dictated by how much tyre is sitting on it only that they meet the weight requirement.

thanks for the reply , my ramps can accept 1ton on each ramp . i only want to use them for draining the gear oil . i will have a go with my exsisting ramps .

What a small old world, i was looking through a copy of Pratical Classis Magazine and they have a product test on car ramps...found just the ones for you at 225mm wide (tread depth ).

Ramps are called Melco CR/4 can be bought from www.restorationramps.co.uk
