05 D4d, Tte Springs, Noise From Front Suspension

Hi. I have a 2005 Corolla 3 door 1.4 D4D with TTE springs fitted. I keep getting a knocking noise from the front n/s suspension. It's coming up to 2 years old and about to have its second replacement shock fitted by local Mr T under warranty. Whilst this is all well and good, not really looking forward to warranty expiring...

Anyone else had this? The noise is faint but definite and happens when I go over road humps - which I do SLOWLY - at 15mph or less.

I'm thinking of insisting that they send the old shock to Toyota HQ to see why it keeps stuffing them (if indeed it does).

Also having the 15 inch 5 spoke alloys replaced under warranty at they're corroding.

And the aircon is being fettled as it smells.

And the front discs are lipped - anyone know what the service limit is?

Sounds like a winge but I actually like the car. And just try getting dealers from any other make to do that much warranty work!

Well the knocking noise seems to have gone (but then it did after they swapped the shock last time, and then came back). I now have a brand new shock - on the offside - (did I mention the noise was from the nearside - doh...). I also have a full new set of alloys (all the old ones were corroding) and a new aircon condenser.

Heigh ho....

Oh and the service manager says the wear limit on D4D discs is 23.3 mm. This may be of interest to other than D4D owners since the D4D's have the same discs as the T Sport.
