Mmt Problems In Yaris

I'm new to this forum, and only looked it up when I started experiencing problems with my Yaris MMT. Initial problem was 2 years ago when car was 1 year old. The gears stuck in 3rd while I was acceleraing and I was unable to change up or down The garage claimed they could find nothing wrong. Then in Feb this year, when it was just out of warranty, the gears went in to neutral while I was overtaking, the car lost power and I had to coast off to the opposite side of the road as there were cars overtaking behind me!!! While bringing it to the garage it happened again. The trouble code showed aproblem with the clutch actuator and ecu. Customer relations offered me reduced rate on parts, and I'm having it repaired next week. I'm not happy, as this forum shows I'm not the only one experiencing these problems, and there's no guarantee it won't recur. I've contacted BBC Watchdog and would urge everyone reading this with a similar problem to do likewise. This is areally dangerous fault and should be acknowledged by Toyota.
