One Or Two Catalytic Converters On My 94 Previa

my previa failed the emissions test and i was told that i needed a new catalytic converter. In trying to source a new one, i'm being told that there are 2 cats, but my mechanic and myself can only find one. my cat has been measured and it is a different size to the new one(s). Is there a one cat exhaust system or has my exhaust system been butchered?can someone please help me?

no you have the same as me i have a 94 previa and only one cat the car shop by me have both the single cat and the twin

they are not that pricy the single is £119 and the twin is about £160
