I'm going to see a 205 next weekend, silver colour and wood inerior trim (not so sure about the wood trim), ive been looking for a while now. When/if i get it, i plan on doing some minor mods to start off with, like a full system incl downpipe and maybe a pannel filter. Can i bolt these mods straight on, with out paying out for a dyno session becuse i'd rather aoid that. Cheres for any info.

On the stock ECU nothing can be adjusted anyway so yes you can bolt those sorts of mods straight on

Well theres always the chance of it lol. But tbh it shouldn't get that badly effected by the mods you listed. Should get a lot less turbo lag though and fair bit of mid range torque

if you are unsure and want to be safe, book it in at a local rolling road and gt a power graph done and ask them to check for det at the same time. this should only cost about 50 quid so is not too expensive, but to be fair, as said you should be fine as long as you use good quality fuel (v-power, ultimate etc. dont put 95 ron in it!)

how does higher RON rated fuel help prevent det?

Japanese imported cars run on higher ron fuels than ours. They have 100 Ron over there and this fuel is better for running a turbo imported cars. So it's best to put the highest Ron you can get in your car to avoid detonation.
