3sfe - Unsteady When Getting Warm

My 1992 Carina E 3SFE have been acting strange lately

just before the engine is warm, it is having trouble taking RPMs .. between 2.500-3.500 its is very unsteady an can hardly accellerate ... this is not even for a minute until it is warm, but it sure is annoying

last week my Lambda-sensor fell out (boltnuts rusted away) ... and I drove the car some 18 miles before I got it strapped in its hole again and another 43 miles before I got new boltnuts on it, can my current problem have anything to do with this? have I e.g. damaged the catalyst?

I had the very same problem at the same revs, however this doesnt mean it was the same cause. Mine turned out to be an intake hose(inlrt manif), I think Can't remember exactly but this would point to lambda etc. I will ask the man that fixed it and let you know tomorrow!

ps. provided your electrics are ok, if you damaged your cat you would get a light on the dash

thank you .. I will be gratefull :-) ... cause this is annoying the crap out of me ..

A Co-Worker borrowed the car, the day it began .. needless to say he will not have this opportunity againg (whether its his fault or not :oD)

There are no lights activated in my dash, and I didn't really think it could be it, cause then it wouldn't only act this way at this certain time of warming up, would it.

Hey you live in Denmark, I love Denmark. I stayed in Korsor and Slagelse for a while in the late 80's and had a brilliant time. Bit expensive though isn't it. How much do you pay for a litre of petrol?

yeah I do .. for some reason I can't get into my settings and write it :(

Slagelse is only 11 kilometers from where I grew up in the late 80's too ;) (Soroe)

Yeah, its a bit expensive but we dillude ourselves - believing that we have a better standard of living than other nations .. haha .. how ignorant are we?

today the listed price for one litre of petrol, unleaded 95, is 8.45 DKK or 0.7978 £ ..

kind regards

Thats the same price as England, which surprises me. Oh and you do have a better standard of living. I hate to be unpatriotic but Britain is a dump with politicians that are only interested in lining their own pockets and trying to go down in history by joining in with spurious wars! Think yourself lucky you live in a pleasant country where your not being screwed by a new stealth tax every month.!!! I will get off my soapbox now :D

well .. there have been an ongoing "war" between the petrol-companies, as one of the biggest decided to compete with the prices at the smaller companies selling from stations without personell

but .. the price have been no higher than 0,85£ as I remember .. other things are pretty expensive, normally you can calculate with 60% of your net-income is used for owning af place to live

add to this that we pay roughly 50% of our income in taxes (marginally max. 63%) and 180% in taxes, when importing a car :crybaby:

kind regards
