You will all , undoubtedly, be ecstatic to learn that the Ford Crapi is back!!!! The new 2 plus 2 coupe was unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show under the concept name VISOS. A Ford spokesman has confirmed that the car is expected to be named 'CRAPI' sorry 'CAPRI' - The silver surf board is back!!!!! :hokus-pokus:

Now we need the Escort and Cortina Mk5 with electric windows to be re-vamped and a remake of the Professionals and Ford will be selling loads of cars. Glad my dad kept his old cardigans and jackets from the 70's. Especially with the new Starsky and Hutch movie coming out.

Aside from the various Carol Shelby Fords I'd have to go with the Futura, Futaba and Falcon 500's.

'Last of the V8 Interceptors. Would have been a shame to blow her up.' - Mad Max 2.

Again the good ones were by Carol Shelby. Wouldn't mind a '64 and a half convertible ala Cherry 2000.

All the good Fords were prepped by outside tuning houses. Cosworth, Carol Shelby, etc...

American Fords are a far cry from UK Fords. Australian Fords are another league again.

especially the 2.8 brooklands,...........

classic!

Whilst living in Cornwall aout 10 years ago, an oppo of mine had a showroom condition 'T' reg 3.0S with about 25000 miles on the clock. Whilst I'm definately no fan of Capris (looks) I must admit that this car was frighteningly fast and very exciting to drive!! ***** end out a plenty!

Sorry to bust the theory, but one of the reasons Fords in the financial doo-doo is they share absolutely bugger all components cross model lines.

Mazda run completely different engineered systems to Ford at present and they are unlikely to integrate them in to a Ford car, they are more likely to pass it over to the SVT team in the USA that made the new GT40 and let them come up with something and then the UK based RS team will figure out a European engine that'll work in it.

Thats enough corporate whispers for one day (I'm working for Ford at present!)
