Don't worry, it'll be fine, you just had bad luck the first time, nothing more...

Just had a day in the Dales in ours - 100 miles covered. Two plus a baby - who said the car was small?

We loaded a full size pushchair chassis (the wheels came off and went in the rear footwell and the seat went in the spare back seat), two folding chairs, two blankets, flask, picnic set, coolbag, Bumbo seat, coats, rucksack, baby changing bag, a bag of soft drinks and a kite!

No problem for Aygo - I do about 30 k a year in mine you know

Suppose this reply is too late as you may be enjoying the sun and sand by the Blackpool seaside!

Don't worry about your Aygo.

I've been going up and down the A1 between Essex and N Yorkshire since January almost every weekend. That's 420 miles each round trip! B)

Must say I've been really impressed by my little Aygo. It starts off "gently" in its unhurried fashion, typical of a small car, I suppose, but picks up speed nicely after the needle points at 60, followed by a gentle pull back to the seat. Before I know it, I am doing an illegal speed! :P

I got my Aygo+ (silver) almost new (ex-demo) with negligible milage. I just hope that I am not doing too much damage to its engine by pushing the speed (unintentional) too much!

It is great fun to drive a minimalist, in terms of its interior design, Aygo, and getting thrown about whilst turning corners and going round roundabouts adds just a bit more character and fun to the driving experience, I suppose.

Hope you enjoy Blackpool.

(Hmmm, must take my Aygo up and down the Dales some time now that the weather has improved) :yahoo:

hi this is a late reply but it was great.

my car did 102mph i was sooooooooooooo impressed

comfy ride and i got my confidence back in the car!!!

plus it was a proper head turner (as always!!!) :-)

It might have been the driver that was the head turner :P .... No trips for me for a while car is getting repaired side swiped someone a couple of weeks ago and noiw I have to drive around in a crappy Nissan Micra, no head turns my way as it has seen a lot of drivers and stinks of smoke, a not so courtesy car! :ffs: can't wait to get my Ago back.

i get all the head turning with my aygo, not because of the driver, but putting in a quality sound system that can pump out those tunes goes down a treat :D

I've recently driven to Hazewinkel in Belgium (ok, took the ferry across the channel :D ) and also to Windermere in the Lake District.

No problems, very comfortable really on a long trip

Got 57mpg to the Lake District, but did drive enthusiastically along some country roads  Got quite a bit less going to Belgium but it was a bit of a rush to get the ferry back!

Paul.
