Mr Toyota Lies

I have only had my CTS 2 weeks,I was told by mr Toyota that the car had been serviced the day before I recieved it.The service book has been marked up that the car was serviced just before I took it away.

I never trust car dealers,so I had a wee look .

The air filter panel was pitch black with dirt...

The oil filter was covered in greasy dirt....

This car has not been serviced as far as I can see..

Should I complain that I have been lied to or what should I do

Does mr Toyota have to service the car as he told me it had been done in the first place.

Can someone please advise me on this please.

Thanks...Happy easter

I'd complain if I were you. Is there a no quibble exchange policy?

While on the subject...

When I was looking for my T Sport I had a look at a red one at Salford Quays Toyota.

It was on 50k miles when I saw it, at the start of the test drive I had a look through the service book (salesman was driving to the petrol station) and the last stamp was the 20k service. I asked why this was and he said it probably just never got stamped and that he'd find out.

Got back to the dealer and he asked his boss about it. "No it hasn't been serviced since then, but we'll do the 60k service before you buy it". It hadn't been serviced for 30k miles!! An "Approved Used" Toyota! It also had some issues like a wing mirror held on with a cable tie and a rubbing strip that had been glued back on with too much glue and was sticking out.

Obviously I didn't buy it (ended up buying one £700 cheaper, with 30k less miles, a year newer and with leather!). Out of interest I got my mate to phone them up a couple of weeks later and ask if it had full Toyota service history. "Yeah it does, in fact there was a young lad in a couple of weeks ago who was really impressed with the full Toyota history".

Unbelievable!

90% of all dealers are the same,But I know of people complaining to Toyota head office in the UK about the way they have been treated and head office giving the dealer a <the spuds of lurrrrvve>ing. You are right ,I will phone them after Easter holidays and ask them why my car was not serviced ....properly...

I checked the oil it is clean but I have just took the Denso air filter out and it is black with dust an has flys leaves ,and feathers in it,my car has 16500 miles and the service book recomends 20,000 miles or 2 years for an air filter change and oil filter change. My car turned 2 on the 4th of April and it seems they have changed the oil and nothing else...how much does a Denso air filter cost them and and oil filter and 10 minutes to change them...

I got this car at a good price but already I am ****** of with car dealer salesman blues

Woodyatlarge: Have you seen my old T Sport driving about N.I.??? It's also a red facelift as per my avatar but with Kahn wheels, TTE exhaust and lowering springs being the visual differences!
