Whistling Noise

hiya guys,

when my engine is cold, i.e. first thing in the morning, i get a very distinctive whistling noise coming from the car... sounds a bit like tappets to me but im not too sure if this is a common problem or something i can easily get sorted out!

any advice is much appreciated, ta!

If its a whistling noise it wont be tappets. If it happens when its cold it maybe your alternator belt as the alternator will be working harder. The belt may need re tensioning or replacing if worn - easily sorted.

Theres a little sort of breather hose coming off the back of the pipe for the induction, coming from the filter box, when mine was loose it made a whistling noise. could be that.
