I know what you mean, but I suppose the T Sport is a sort of hidden gem that the wrong kinda people haven't found out about yet! Unfortunately the tuning companies haven't jumped on the bandwagon which makes life difficult!

yeah true, its a lovely car even in standard for and fun to drive, just picked mine up today, been out all day driving, couldnt smash the grin off my face with a brick, i absolutely love the car, lift is fantastic :D

whats the general sort of age group of drivers/owners here then?

i'm 19 myself but found that when i had my gti-6 that most of the owners were a bit older, and the t sport is what i would place in the same sort of class ( t sport being superior obviously).

your car looks minted in your avatar by the way mate!

How do you find it compares to the '6? Is it as quick? What do you think of the handling difference?

Never driven a '6 but I used to have an XSi, T Sport is a lot quicker but doesn't handle quite aswell. Much better car overall though!

I'm 21 btw. But I'm 19 by rolley's logic. :D

Lol!

The 6 was a nice car, and did handle really well, although the T Sport is a much better all round car.

The handling isn't uite as good, but there isn't a huge difference. In terms of speed, i would say the T Sport definitely feels a fair bit quicker.

Overall I'd have the T Sport any day of the week, I'm in love already

Johndcfc, you must be the youngest person ever to own an RX!! Hope I can afford one by this time next year, but somehow I doubt it. :(

Insurance-wise...

21, licence 4 years, 1 year no claims, no accidents/points, 10k miles a year, £775 fully comp with Admiral.

It's not a brand new one, its the old model.

I work from home most of the time and get a car allowance and fuel card so its not costing much extra, just the initial outlay for the car.

24, licence 6 years, 6 years no claims, insurance through priviledge £509, its £477 with the missus on it! both prices include protected ncb, legal cover and the guranteed courtesy car cover, all three added about £100 on top!

Not bad i think!
