Another Newbie Gt-four Owner - Warning Light Question

Hi guys,

I'm yet another newbie GT-Four owner, I’ve recently upgraded from my 96 ST to a 95 GT-Four and I'm loving it!

It's a fresh import and had all the conversions made, but recently I've got a warning light coming on and I'm not sure what it is, as I didn't get any owner’s manuals or anything with the car. It's only come on a few times and it disappears if I turn off and start her up again.

The light looks like this: OrangeWarningLight.gif

I've got a few months of the warranty left, I’m hoping it's just a basic 'something is a bit warm' warning, but if it's something more serious, I ought to get it sorted!

Any help with determining what this means would be greatly appreciated!

And sorry for asking newbie questions, but I am after all, a newb! :D

Thanks

Matt

Thanks Blink, good to know it's nothing too serious! I've checked the brake lights and they seem fine, I best get in and check the wiring!

Thanks again for your help

I had the same light come on in mine. Mine was when i had the rear fog light removed from under the bumper and wired in to the main rear lights, they had wired it in wrong although the fog light works fine i still had the light come on.

Happens on import cars when the lights are re-wired to provide rear fogs, although the original purpose is to warn of a bulb out.

Easy fix: whip the dash off and remove the warning bulb. ;)
