Does anybody know how to stop the click/rattle that comes from the plastic that sits between the air vent and the door?Does the cover slide off or is it lifted off?

It slides off towards the front of the car.

I fitted my alarm LED through there, after having routed a live wire (and switch, which is easily hidden) from the interior courtesy light

I took mine off and stuck some foam tape along the edges - sorted.

Another rattle in mine was the A-post trims were rattling against the top of the dash. I couldn't stand it so wedged a couple of bits of the same tape in the gap. You can just see the top of it, but its better than the rattle!

Which bit of plastic can be removed by pushing towards the front of the car?

I have an occaisional click/rattle that comes from the area mentioned but I cant find any pieces to remove to put foam or something behind!

Could someone describe the relevant part!

If it is from the passenger door - it sounds obvious but - you must ensure that the seat-belt has returned correctly to its retracted position when not in use

You're correct that the door mounted bit of the dashboard looks like a single piece part, but if you look along the edge, you will find a seam. Use a flat headed screw driver with a cloth or cellotape over it to avoid scratching the plastic, and be firm but gentle.

As you close the front door, it is the flat D-shaped plastic panel, about 10cm below the mirror adjustment knob, which meets with the dashboard.

Thats the one!

I've had a similar rattle from "somwhere near the mirror adjuster"

My problem was in two places.

To remove the cover, open the door wide. As adilmon says, it looks like a

"D" shape but reversed. There is one clip near the front of this piece.

Place a thumb near the back of the "D" Place another at the front in the centre of the upright.

press slightly on the trim then push towards the front of the car.

the whole thing slides forward about 1cm then disengages from all the locating bits.

you will need a piece of foam about 5mm thick to place centrally inside and stiffen things up a bit.

replacing the trim is easy. push it all into place about 1cm too far forward.

make sure all the hooks are in place then slide it rearwards until it clicks.

The second rattle was where the edge of the speaker grille touches the

white windsceen upright cover.

to test this, gently tap it away from the dashboard with the ball of your finger.

mine rattled back onto the side of the speaker grille.

All I did with this was to wedge a thin (2mm) piece of black sponge into the gap.

all you can see is a thin black line. Same fix as kenl.

Rattles solved!

Good Luck.

My whole car rattles when my volume is about 35+ which is most of the time. Anyone got a fix for that?
