Looking For A 3s-gte

Hey, don't know if anyone in here can help, my mate is looking for a 3s-gte engine / gearbox / ecu etc to upgrade his mk2 n/a mr2.

He's exhausted :!Removed!: all the usual Fensport type places and the suggestions he got from mr2oc with no luck.. So does anyone know of one for sale or of someone who is about to break a turbo for parts?

to be fair mate, he's better of bying a turbo mr2. the cost of doing the conversion will be the same or more than selling his 2 and buing a decent tubbie.

if he does want to swap the engine then try rogue systems, they break mr2s and fix em. expect to pay around £2k for a rev 3 conversion though

It's nearly £3000 for a rev 1 conversion at Rogue!

There is a bloke on IMOC who does the whole thing complete for £1500

My mate's gonna do the work himself, thats not a prob. It's just finding an engine thats proving difficult...

Could of helped you out with this but only got bare engine left, most of the ancils, ecu, looms etc have gone.

oh well, cheers for replying. he's actually just come across a front damaged car at a breakers which is now reserved pending inspection! hopefully it'll work out..
