Gt4 205 Hissing Sound From Turbo Gauge

hiya all,

just a quick question, im looking to buy this GT4 ST205, ive had a good look around and all seems fine apart from a hissing noise that seems to be coming from the external turbo gauge. At first thought it might be the turbo pipe, which we replaced however the noise persists. ive had this checked out and was told its normal.....can anyone confirm or advise any further please?

is the hissing coming from the actual gauge?? or from the engine bay itself??

if its from the gauge itself it seems like a sloppy instalation jop on that gauge..

Sounds like either the pipe to gauge connection is leaking or the actual mechanism itself is leaking.

What make of gauge is it?

The guy who fitted it sounds a bit odd to me to, no boost gauge should be "releasing" pressure!!! and if it is then it's a very odd design...

Boost gauges messure both positive and negative pressure and in order for this to be acurate the gauge but be a sealed system.

Well to be fair, he probably is right... but he then needs to explain why exactly the gauge is releasing pressure?!?!
