As it was sunny and the Aygo has only been washed once since delivery in January (by the dealer following a new lock!) I decided to give it a wash today.

All going well until the wheels - being a '+' it has wheel trims and not alloys - I now wish it had alloys. Not having a steel wheel car for 5 years I forgot how much brake dust steel wheels and wheel trims collect - I decided to remove the trims, then wash the wheels, then the trims. I was covered in brake dust.

Well done Toyota in having a wheel trim removal tool in the toolkit, but the real pain was getting the things back on - like trying to fit 8 footballs in a bag large enough for 7! Every time I got most of the clips in I'd give it a tap to get the last one in, it would go in and one clip would pop out. The wheels ended up taking longer than the rest of the car!

Looks good now it's clean though - plenty of Rainex applied to all glass too. We had some rubber scuffs on the outside of the sill, but Mer polish saw this off.

It may get washed again before the Autumn!!!
