Cts Compared To Previous Cars

Just wondering how people find their Corolla T Sport compared to their previous cars.....

My previous (and only other car) was a Peugeot 306 XSi.

The CTS is much better overall, it's a lot quicker and more comfortable. It doesn't handle quite as well though. It also pulls just as well, if not better, low down. Despite the fact that the 8v XSi is known as a "torquey" engine and the CTS is known for "needing" to rev the <the spuds of lurrrrvve>s off it.

The only other car I've owned besides a cts is an N reg Astra 1.4. How does it compare? Well I guess it's like comparing a pea shooter with an assault rifle.

I've had 2 Golfs (1.4 and 1.8) and 2 Peugoet 306 (both D-Turbo).

Comparison ends with the fact that they all had a wheel on each corner!!!!

Well I've had a '92 Suzuki Swift GTi, a '97 Toyota Glanza V, a '93 Rover 216GTi (don't ask, but a rocket!!!), a '93 Corolla GXi, '04 Corolla T Sport, '95 Carina E 1.6, '05 Honda Civic TypeR in that order, and out of those the GlanzaV and T Sport were my favourites! I had the Glanza long before they were even common in Ireland and it made me smile endlessly - it was MINT and looked the nuts. The T Sport was the best all-rounder and the lift is AWESOME! Not a huge list of cars, but hey that's my story!

...oh and the quickest from top to bottom IMO were: Glanza, T Sport, TypeR, 216GTi, Swift GTi, Corolla GXi, Carina E!

Best handling from top to bottom: TypeR, T Sport, Corolla GXi, Glanza, Swift GTi, 216 GTi, Carina E...

i had a 306 gti-6. Not much in it to be honest. CTS is slightly quicker overall not quite as good handling as the pug, BUT a lot less rattles and all the electrics work!! :D

Ive had 2 Toyota Starlets ,a Toyota Corolla Saloon, a Toyota Corolla GTI 16v,a Honda Accord Aerodeck,a Honda Civic LSI 1500,a VW Golf TDi 130 and finally 4 weeks ago My 2005 CTS in red with 16500 miles and not a scratch.

I have always loved Jap cars as I was brought up being driven in them by my parents,my father drove Corollas,Supras,Celicas ,Ravs ,and Mr2 and he has a 1989 MR2 Tbar with Black Leather with 56000 miles on it which he takes out of his garage at the weekends for a spin.He also drives a 1997 Lexus GS 300 Sport.

He alway said Jap cars were reliable and as far as I can see he was right and from my VW golf TDI which I owened for 4 years it never let me down once.

Buy German or Jap and you cant go far wrong ,although there are lots of other good cars out there like Seat and Skoda which funnily enough are part owened by Volkswagon and both are far better cars than they used to be before a little touch of German genius.

Cars are a personal choice so I will never put down a make of car I have never drivin.

And finally I love my Tsport the best of all the cars I have owned...

Thanks for reading my rambling story...Snoooooooooz nnnnnn to sleep

I've had 2 Fiats. A 1.4 Bravo (that strangely used to drink juice more than my CTS) and a 1.6 Stilo. Both were pretty slow so this was a big leap for me.
