Hey people thumbsup:

A friend of mine has just bought a ST202 & the only problem is that the elecy arial is stuck all the way out.

When you turn the engine off you can hear the motor trying to work but it doesn't budge.

any suggestions?

J

HI, it's probably the cord inside the aerial has either snapped or lost teeth. Think the easiest thing to do is buy a new mast from Toyota, abaout £40. Fitting it can be a tricky job if the cord has snapped and got tangled up as mine had. I just got my garage to do it for me when they did a service as I don't like fiddly jobs!!!

OK,

I've picked up an Autoleads replacement aerial & motor.

Went to fit it today & i can get the motor from the chassis but i cant figure out how to pull the mast free from the body work.

I think you just need to unscrew the collar at the base of the mast when the mast is in the up position. I think........ :) Hopefully the new aerial will sit properly on the bodywork as I know lots of people have had trouble because of the shape of the celica .
