The earth lines get good speed mate, just as good as the cables. I think it uses the earth wires in your electric circuit :)

I'm after a cheap reliable Cable/DSL router which supports WPA and can handle a 20mbs connection.

There are a lot on the market and I dont want one which will need regular maintenance like the D-Link G604T

I’m using a ADSL Netgear DG834PN RangeMax in Hull, but the WPN824UK maybe too pricey for the cable connection

What would you recommend?

I have a WPN824 and it's rubbish! If doing any downloads the router crashes if I try to go too fast. I've looked for firmware updates but it seesm to be up to date. Have to cap my downloads at 150KB/s just to make sure it stays up!

Plus, look here Netgear complaints

for loads of complaints about it. So wehn you find a decent one let me know!

I dont know what router I will be getting in Hull, It will be free and if it goes faulty I'll get another one.

We have used linksys on a few yachts, they have been running about two years with no problems.
