Radio Reception

Hi.Does anybody know any way I can improve the radio reception on my Rav 4 2005.

I have had various other cars before (VW, BMW, Vauxhall) over the years and always drive around the same area and radio reception was ok, but the Rav has a terrible radio reception in lots of places where none of the other cars had any problem picking up local stations. Any help appreciated

Hi I don't know if the RAV's areial is the same but I had a similar problem on a VW, the radio reception was great then suddenly it went deaf!

The dealer says there is a signal amplifier built into the areial base which had failed, repalced the areial and everything was fine. (You could see power supply wires going into the bottom of the areial base).

I have the same problem radio reception is extremely poor ! I did not know it had an amplifier connected to it, im not so sure as you have a newer RAV. I have considered buying a new aerial but I do not know which type and whether it will make any difference also how do you get to this amp if there is one !!!
