The ST205 has stock boost set at 13psi...

When you say Jap spec, are you talking in terms of Climate Control/folding mirrors etc...

To be honest its not too different to the UK model although the Jap engine is supposed to push out a few more ponies but not by much.

No probs, there is always the GT4OC which is a great souce of info as well which could help you further.

In my experience, I haven't seen much difference between the Jap and UK spec although i would suggest that you get your undercoat checked on a Jap car as the salty winter uk roads will eat it away if not treated. :)

As fizz said UK Vs JDM are pretty much the same.

Difference are mainly

Air Con Vs Climate Control

Heated wing mirrors Vs Folding Wing mirrors

etc

Mechanically they are identical.

Power wise the JDM is mapped a bit more agressively on the ignition thanks to the 100RON fuel they have other then hence quoted as being slight better power wise 255 vs 239 for UK, torque figures are identical.

Once over here on UK fuels they generally come out at the same at the rollers, and once you get round to fitting aftermarket ECU I'd like to see you tell the difference between them...

As said stock pressure is normally around 13PSI/0.9bar however this will vary depending on how safe the ecu is feeling, the ST205 ecu has the ability to vary the boost quite a bit and the toyota repair manual records boost as being ok in the range of 0.8-1.16 bar(roughly 11-17PSI).
