New Horn And How To Take The Front Bumper Of

Recommended Posts

You can't tell me you haven't had a moment you wanted to use the horn and though, NO I am not because everyone is going to ***** his pants. It just sounds, how can I describe it!!! Different

I decided to give the 107 a s*x change :-) A horn with a little more hormones (but not too much that you think a truck is approaching)

here the instructions + two sound clips:

Even bigger horn:

And I DID fit one that makes you think a truck is approaching...

I had these airhorns on my previous car too (a Nissan 100NX),

but the mounting wasn't as stealthy as I did on the Aygo:

If you opened up the hood the horns couldn't be missed

On the Aygo there's much less space, so I decided to put it inside the

bumper. At first I thought of mounting it in front of the A/C compressor,

but when I had the bumper off I noticed a nice space in the leaft front wing:

Top left an overview, a close-up next to it. Bottomleft shows the bottom

of the steering column, where I hid a small switch, that allows me to choose

between the original horn and the airhorns from inside. The wiring is shown

in the bottom right, without the relay in the socket I fitted.

The green and brown wires are "spares" I put in while I was at it anyway;

pulling wires isn't that easy on this car, and this can save

me a LOT of trouble when future projects might arise...

This little movie shows the difference in sound. Quality isn't really good, but you get the idea.

The volume for the airhorns is WAY louder when tyou're in front of the car :P

First sound is the airhorns, second the original horn.
