Nice one. If you can treat yourself to a set of Coileys you'd be having such more fun - just make sure you wind them ALL THE WAY DOWN!!!

yeah defo!!! ive got 16's on and tein springs but it scrapes when plp are in the back, if i get coilovers will it scrape with plp in the back if i wind it down low? im not sure if it will as it will be a lot more stiffer wont it?

you have coilovers on yours?

If you often carry a lot of people in the back DO NOT wind it all the way down becasue you will definately scrape!!

Mine is all the way down but rarely carry people in the back - when i do though it slow and carefull plus only allow two people in the rear and the ones that carry the lease weight!!

They are super tho - mine are the Envy coileys that are more like the Tein Super Street and not the Basic's there is a post a bit further down have a read before deciding

hi guys, anyone with an envy or typhoon kit, when you went to fit it, was the alarm attched to the body of the car just below the coolant bottle, on the little opening? if so will the pipe still go through? looks abit tight!

Thanks

  • 2 weeks later...

My envy filter arrived today, but ive noticed that the alarm unit is bolted to the side of the car body where the silver pipe goes down, was anybodys the same when they went to install theres?

If so will it clear it? if not what do i do to move the unit and where? :help:

Cheers

you move the unit, it doesn't matter where, as long as it's out of the way of the filter.

Is there just 2 10mm bolts holding it on? and what about the wire going into the alarm unit? the loom wont be long enough to move it to the engine bay will it?

Fitted my Envy filter tonight, must say it seems alot more responsive than my apexi, and it makes a nice roar to! :o

One or to things though does anybodys filter when its only idle shudder, like its struggiling for air now and then? ( that was before i had run it and settled it in, maybe just the AF meter adjusting?

Also is everyones filter right next the fog toughing it slightly? I didnt want to push it to far up the metal hose but had to a bit to get it to fit.

Great piece of kit though really impressed took it for a long run, checked it all over and the metal hose wasnt even hot! 8) still nice and cool.

Thanks Kevin for sorting me out!

Coming next coilovers..........
