Hi Y'all,

I have just purchased a Corolla Sportif, 1996, and it drives like a dream! I have just joined here, and I'm lo0okig for info on yhis model - i.e: what equipment was standard, what was optional, whats the difference between mine (an SE) and a standard Sportif, and were the badges a delete option, as mine are missing! I know its had some bodywork done at some point, but they've done a good job. Any info would be gratefully recived.

Thanks!

hey, im not clued up as yet on toyotas cause im new myself. but i bought a 94 sportif bout 4 months ago. i'll list whats on mine and maybe it'll help a bit. as far as toys go all i got is pas, central locking an a drivers airbag. no leccy windows or mirrors, both are manual. no sunroof, pretty bog standard interior (ie no bolsters on the front seats) dash board consists of a speedo with a temp gauge an fuel gauge either side, no rev counter. its also got the levers by the drivers seat to pop the boot an fuel cap. thats pretty much it but even so im still pleased with the car as a whole. its on a M plate an has done 168k miles, which is rather a lot but the engine an bodywork are mint, engine runs like a dream an the bodywork is solid. prob wont help u much mate but its a start eh?

p.s welcome to the club mate. very friendly lot on ere i find. :)

Hey, hows things..........

Got one myself in january... nice clean one 1996 with 58.000 miles with fsh...... tiss got elec windows, elec sunroof, boot spoiler with the brakelight, rev counter, pas etc........ nice tidy car..... since ive had it ive fitted a full 1.6si interior including the front and rear doorcards, set of tsw 15" alloys and clear front bumper lights + wing lights with chromed bulbs in both and a set of wind deflectors. To my knowledge the electrics are standard on the se model and the rear spoiler was optional...... nice tidy car....

Many thanks to you both for the info, Mine is like this one but with the standard steel wheels, non standard (I think) hubcaps, and the stock interior. Mine has 'only' done 94,000 miles, but, as yours does, drives like new, and I can't fault it. I've just got hold of a universal air filter induction kit, and once I've fitted it, I'll let you all know how it performs. I'm not expecting a great deal of difference, unlike the one I fitted to a Skoda Felicia Estate - that really improved the performance! But, you never know....
